Kimo Taylor
We are happy to have Minister Kimo Taylor as our full-time Wedding Minister. Rev. Kimo does a prayer in Hawaiian during the Wedding Ceremony. He is a member of Hope Chapel.
Kimo performs a non-denominational Christian Wedding ceremony. A non-religious ceremony is also available.
John Fujikami
Pastor John Fuchigami was raised here in Hawaii and is serving as the Senior Pastor of Hope Chapel Iwilei. He’s been married to his beautiful wife for 30 years (as of 2018) and has three wonderful children.
Licensed through the State of Hawaii and having performed well over 10,000 weddings since 2003, Pastor John is able to do a number of different wedding ceremonies to suit the needs and desires of the couple. Ceremonies include: Japanese weddings and Japanese vow renewal ceremonies; Hawaiian-styled ceremonies; vow renewal ceremonies; Filipino/Catholic-styled ceremonies; traditional ceremonies; and more. Pastor John is very flexible when it comes to customizing a ceremony to suit the couple’s needs and he is also currently working on a Korean ceremony!
A musician at heart, wedding companies even book him to be musician (ukulele or guitar) as well as minister at his weddings!
One of Pastor John’s driving values, when it comes to performing weddings, is “No matter how many weddings I perform, I want to treat each one like it’s my first and only wedding. Practically every couple is experiencing this joy and wonder for the first and only time. I want to enter into, and share, that experience with them. I want each and every couple to feel special . . . because they are. The way I engage and officiate their wedding will only take a moment, but the memory of the event is something they will carry for a lifetime. So I want to treat my role in this occasion with the utmost respect and heart.”
Jofrey Rabanal
Established in 2005, Jofrey Rabanal is a Pastor on the North Shore on the Island of Oahu, Hawaii. He began to perform weddings for friends and families. One of the weddings he was performing caught the eye of a coordinator of a local company. He was asked to perform another wedding for that coordinator, and little did he know it would be the beginning of what would become known as Simply Oahu Weddings in Hawaii. The coordinator liked him so much that instead of doing one wedding each month, it has become six to eight and sometimes ten weddings each month on average and that has also caught the eyes of other wedding companies. Now after a few years has gone by, Simply Oahu Weddings has grown from one coordinator to over twenty coordinators and companies throughout the state of Hawaii. Jofrey’s outgoing and enthusiastic personality has become a favorite for couples here in Hawaii and couples from the Mainland U.S. He has drawn the attention of many couples throughout the world; Australia, Canada, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and even Africa. Many have used Pastor Jofrey for other occasions such as house blessings, baby dedications, company blessings, and many others, but many have used him for their special day in becoming husband and wife.
